Hotel Towels and Bathrobes
Hotels accommodate hundreds of guest’s everyday. Towels, linens, wash cloths, napkins and tablecloths need to be washed and tumble dried daily. For a hotel with 200 rooms/suites, this means approximately 800 bath towels, 600 face towels, 400 wash cloths and bath robes are needed each and every day.
Hotel laundry is a serious matter, however. One of the primary missions of the hotels is to provide a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for their patrons. This means complying with the governments’ regulations and guidelines. The Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends using hot water when washing the laundry, which provides an effective means of destroying microorganisms, and a temperature of at least 71 C (160 F) for a minimum of 25 minutes. Also chlorine bleach is recommended for an extra margin of safety. The last action performed during the washing process is the addition of a mild acid to neutralize any alkalinity in the water supply, soap, or detergent.
All these processes can be highly damaging for the fabrics. They need to be extra strong to withstand the toughest procedures. Our new technology hotel towels and bathrobes are manufactured with the unique needs of the hospitality industry in mind. Not only the current needs, but also we constantly work to better meet the future needs of the hotels, spas and cruise lines.
